Cosmosprof Asia 2013 Records 10% Visitor Growth

Tens of thousands of trade visitors flocked to Cosmoprof Hong Kong in 2013.
Cosmoprof Asia, which was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre November 13-15, wrapped up its 18th edition with its highest numbers yet: 60,985 visitors (up 10% over 2012) with “remarkable” growth in overseas visitors including from the U.S. (+10%) and European countries such as Germany (+27%), Italy (+19%) and Spain (+23%), together with emerging Asia Pacific markets including India (+74%), Malaysia (+21%) and Vietnam (+12%).

Exhibitors also rose 10% over the prior year, with 2,168 taking part from 43 countries and regions. Twenty-two country and group pavilions included the largest-ever Korean pavilion, with a collection of 190 companies in skin care, makeup, nail, personal care, formulation and packaging solutions.

For the 7th consecutive year, Cosmoprof Asia organized the International Buyer Program to facilitate direct contact between exhibitors and international buyers.

A new exhibition area was dedicated to Nail & Accessories, and featured 128 exhibiting companies.

A standing-room-only seminar program added to the overall experience.
